Arturia Augmented PERSIA Deluxe – Persian Hybrid Instrument

Arturia Augmented Persia Deluxe brings one of the world’s oldest musical traditions into the modern studio. It fuses high-fidelity recordings of traditional Persian instruments — tar, setar, kamancheh, and more — with Arturia’s Augmented synthesis engine, letting you move between authentic acoustic performances and otherworldly hybrid textures in a single patch. With microtuning for genuine Middle Eastern scales, granular processing for evolving soundscapes, and hundreds of curated presets, it’s an inspiring tool for anyone who wants real exotic character rather than generic “world” samples. Plugboutique’s deal price makes this specialty instrument an easy yes.

Why Arturia Augmented Persia Sounds Authentic

Sample libraries often treat non-Western instruments as decoration. Arturia Augmented Persia was built the other way around: the acoustic recordings come first, captured with care, and the synthesis engine extends them instead of replacing them. Microtuning support means you can play true Persian scales and maqam modes rather than forcing the instruments into twelve-tone equal temperament. Layer a kamancheh phrase with a granular-processed pad, add the built-in arpeggiator, and you have textures that work in film scores, electronic productions, and contemporary world music without sounding like a tourist.

Persia Deluxe Specs and Compatibility

Arturia Augmented Persia Deluxe is delivered as an instant download for Mac and Windows with VST3, AU, and AAX support for all major DAWs. The Augmented engine is designed for expressive real-time performance, responding to velocity, aftertouch, and modulation control. Whether you’re scoring to picture, producing a track, or simply exploring new sounds, it installs quickly and sits comfortably in any template.

Start with the microtuning presets before writing a single note — hearing the instruments in their native scales changes what melodies occur to you. Layer an acoustic patch with a granular-processed version of itself for hybrids that feel both ancient and futuristic. The arpeggiator is surprisingly musical on plucked instruments like the tar and setar; slow tempos and minor modes practically write themselves. For film cues, automate the modulation wheel to morph between acoustic and synthetic layers as the scene develops.
