Sauceware Scorch 2 – Sample Synth & MIDI Sequencer

Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 is what happens when a sample instrument is designed around how producers actually work: fast. Rebuilt from the ground up — not a reskin of the original — Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 combines 475+ curated presets, two deep sampler engines, five integrated effects and a built-in MIDI sequencer, all fronted by the Chaos Knob, a single control that can transform pitch, modulation and character at once. It is equally a sound source and an idea machine.

Two sampler engines and the Chaos Knob

At its heart sit two independent sampler engines, each with its own controls for speed, pitch and panning plus its own filter and envelope, so you can shape two sound sources separately or blend them into layered hybrids. The library spans live instruments, analog-inspired sounds and the complete original Scorch collection. But the fastest way into new territory is the Chaos Knob: one twist can turn a simple preset into something unrecognizable, and because it is automatable in your DAW, it doubles as a performance tool for transitions, builds and drops. Three more macros — Bite, Space and Motion — give you immediate expressive control without opening the deeper pages.

A sequencer that writes with you

Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 goes further than most sample instruments by including a full MIDI sequencer with dedicated chord, melody and bass channels, pre-made MIDI blocks and a harmony system that keeps progressions musical without demanding theory knowledge. Load a sound, pick a key, audition chord progressions, then sketch melodies and basslines over the top — all inside one plugin. Combined with 3 LFOs, 3 envelopes and five built-in effects (reverb, delay, distortion, chorus and tape), a single factory preset can evolve into a finished musical idea without ever leaving the instrument. This sample synth with MIDI sequencer is built for momentum.

Who Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 is for

It is aimed squarely at producers who value speed: hip-hop, trap, drill, R&B, pop and electronic beatmakers who want strong sounds and musical starting points without menu-diving. It also suits sound designers who enjoy pushing samples into experimental territory via the dual engines and modulation. If your sessions stall at the blank-project stage, this is the kind of instrument that gets notes playing within minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the original Scorch to use Scorch 2?

No. Scorch 2 is a standalone product with a completely rebuilt engine, and it already includes all of the original Scorch sounds alongside its new library.

What does the Chaos Knob do?

It transforms multiple aspects of a sound — pitch, modulation and character — from a single control, and it can be automated in your DAW for dynamic transitions, builds and evolving textures.

Does Sauceware Audio Scorch 2 work in Pro Tools?

There is no native AAX version, but the VST3 and AU versions can be used in Pro Tools through a third-party wrapper such as Blue Cat’s PatchWork.
