Serum 2 Afro House Presets – Free 40-Preset Pack

Afro House lives or dies on sound selection. The arrangements are sparse, the builds are long, and every timbre sits exposed, which is why generic presets so often sound wrong in the genre. This free collection of serum 2 afro house presets was built for those exact constraints: 40 presets across the four roles an Afro House track actually needs, basslines, leads, pads and plucks, referencing the sound of Black Coffee, Culoe De Song and the wider scene.

Why these Serum 2 Afro House presets are built for restraint

The defining insight behind these serum 2 afro house presets is that the genre rewards discipline. The basslines are deep, punchy and groove-focused, built to carry a sparse arrangement on their own. The leads are bright, melodic and hypnotic, designed for the repetition the style depends on. Pads stay lush and atmospheric without swallowing the mix, and the plucks lean crisp and organic, closer to struck percussion than to conventional synth stabs.

That role-based organization is practical, not decorative. When a genre uses four elements, a pack sorted into those four categories means you find the right sound in seconds. Many commercial packs give you thirty lead variations and nothing usable down low; here the hardest element, the bass, gets proper attention.

A free education in genre sound design

Because these are Serum presets rather than samples, every sound is open for inspection. Load a pluck, follow the modulation routing, and you can see exactly how the organic quality was built: which envelope shape, which filter movement, which subtle detune. For producers learning Afro House, serum 2 afro house presets double as a masterclass you can take apart. Serum 2’s backwards compatibility means the Serum 1-era patches load correctly, with a compatibility toggle in the global tab for exact replication.

The pack also crosses over well. Melodic House, Organic House and Deep Tech share enough sonic vocabulary that many of these Serum 2 Afro House presets transfer directly, making the collection useful beyond strict Afro House productions.

Who is this free pack for?

Producers new to Afro House who have the arrangement right but cannot nail the timbres will get the most from these Serum 2 Afro House presets. DJs making their own edits get usable bass and pluck sounds instantly. Serum users learning sound design get a risk-free way to study genre construction. Established Afro House producers with deep personal libraries will find it more useful as reference material than as a working toolkit, which is an honest limitation of any 40-preset free pack.
